Autumn Bear Hunt

Sawmill Lodge has secured the bear Management Area for the Georgian Bay shoreline zone from Henvey Inlet to Alexander Passage.  The area comprises some 132 square kilometres of Crown Land, and presents an excellent opportunity for bear hunting enthusiasts.  

The Bear Management Area enables both resident Canadians and non-resident hunters (ie folks from the US and Europe) to safely and legally hunt here for black bear.

Sawmill Lodge will provide the baiting and basic guide service as part of a package plan.  The number of bears available within our BMA is limited, so only the first few people to book will be successful.  We are offering our housekeeping packages and American Plan packages in conjunction with our bear hunt package.
